We are delighted to welcome you and your child to Cathedral Nursery School.  Our intent
is to make your child's early childhood experience a rewarding and positive one.
Listed below are some facts, simple rules and procedures established by the
administrative staff and your teachers.

For the safety of all the children, parking is only permitted on the village road just north of the cottages.  You must enter the driveway past the nursery school on Rockaway. Please use the designated spaces or if parking along the fence, you must be facing EAST.  The Village has notified us there is NO PARKING in front of the Senior Center, Recreation Department, or our staff parking.  To enter the school, please follow the path to the rear of the cottages and enter through the gates to Courtyard Door #2. Doors will open at 8:55AM for the morning session and 12:05PM for the afternoon session.  Parents are responsible for the safety of their children until they enter the classrooms with the teacher present. The playground will be open, however, your supervision is critical to their safety.

DISMISSALS: At orientation, your child's teacher will advise you of the procedures for
dismissal from the classroom.  Please wait at the exits designated by the class teacher. Punctuality is important at arrival as well as dismissal.

PERMISSION SLIPS:  Blanket permission slips for emergency treatment and
photography/video are signed in the beginning of the year.  Photography is ongoing
throughout the year to capture special moments in the classroom.  From time to time,
we submit photos to the local newspapers as well.

PARENT/TEACHER ORGANIZATION (PTO):  We are very fortunate to have an active PTO. The PTO sponsors a dinner fundraiser and welcome coffees in the fall.  The PTO's funds are used exclusively for the children sponsoring field trips, providing new books and
purchasing new playground and classroom equipment.  The PTO welcomes any volunteers. More information follows throughout the year.

TUITION:  As most parents are aware, our financial obligations begin before school opens.  Accordingly, payments are due APRIL 1ST and JULY 1ST for the first semester's tuition,
and JANUARY 15th for the second semester
. Please pay promptly as your tuition is
our sole source of income. Payment is preferred to be by check or money order.

Our Directors, Administrator, and teachers are always available for any questions
you may have.  Please call, e-mail or stop by the office any time.
We look forward to
a stimulating and productive year with your child.
